Pirates of Ashley! NLSIn the 2015/2016 school year I worked as a math teacher, at Ashley Elementary. I made a Networked Learning Space for my third grade students to use during independent learning/practice. I house the NLS on Edmodo, because it was the platform used in the school and the platform that the students were comfortable with. To view the NLS shell you will need to be a login to or sign up for Edmodo, then you will need to join the seven groups connected with The Pirates of Ashley! using the group names and codes provided below -

Heroines of STEM NLSI created this shell, including two sessions materials and activities, for a proposed after-school club with the goal of increasing engagement for female students with STEM fields, mostly through coding activities. To access the shell you will need a Google Classroom account (invitation needed) and can join the Heroines of STEM 2017 classroom with the code: 4hpr9tu

You Be The Teacher NLSI used the Canvas LMS for the platform for this NLS. Here I created a learning space that could be used to support a blended learning environment for math intervention groups. During the 2016/2017 school year, I worked with struggling math students in small intervention groups. I wanted to make these groups opportunities for blended learning. Students that mastered an intervention skill could use this course to produce peer to peer instructional media to support the learning of other students.
